THE JOB
Chateau Ste Michelle Amphitheatre is seeking a Venue Cleaning Supervisor to keep our venue show ready and create an incredible fan experience by leading the Venue Cleaning Staff. This position is responsible for keeping the venue clean and tidy while supporting the Sustainability Team's goals and objectives. This position will work under the Venue Sustainability Manager and be part of the venue operations team. This is a seasonal, part-time position with varied hours depending on show schedule and business needs across the season. Hours per week will vary depending on show schedule and business needs at the time.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
  • Trash management throughout the venue including but not limited to: stocking all waste receptacles with liners, hauling trash from throughout the venue to the waste station, Zero-Waste sorting, and disposing of waste according to venue sustainability procedures.
  • Keep the venue safe and clean at all times, including but not limited to: clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, doors and walls of restrooms, keep all guest facing area free of trash, restock restroom paper materials and hygiene products as needed.
  • Keep work areas neat and orderly, clean equipment and assist with other cleaning duties as assigned.
  • On an ongoing basis leads and train staff, including assisting in staffing positions, to ensure that all staff members are well-informed on event specific details.
  • Coordinate team rest periods in accordance with state and local law and help to find coverage.
  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members.
  • Create pre-shift sheets and relay information from management directly to staff.
  • Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this will include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Show days require about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. with about 75% of that time spent hauling waste materials.
  • Not afraid to get dirty or be around unpleasant odors.
  • Ability to work outside in variable weather.
  • Strong time management skills to show up on time and work late hours.
  • Must be able to work well with other departments.
  • A positive attitude.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Experience in events/zero waste events are a plus.
