Job description

Role Summary:

The primary function is to assist the ginner in making repairs and unchoking machinery and keep all areas clean.

What to Expect in the Role:

  • Operates gin stands/lint cleaners.
  • Helps with any choke-ups or repairs.
  • Watches for and safely removes tags from gin stands.
  • Regular visual inspections of belts/pulley and other abnormalities.
  • Reports any abnormalities to the ginner.
  • Keep work area clean/blown down to assist sweeper.
  • In charge of lint cleaners during clean up
What We Will Be Needing From You:ย 
  • High school diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in a cotton gin and mechanical aptitude is helpful.
  • Knowledge of how cotton gin machinery works and the ability to unchoke and repair when necessary.
