Orthopaedic Surgeon

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama (USA) is seeking a hand and/or upper extremity fellowship trained, BE/BC orthopaedic surgeon to join the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. The University of South Alabama maintains a Level I Trauma Center with over 2,000 trauma admissions per year, and is the region's largest trauma center. This represents a unique opportunity to help develop a robust hand and upper extremity service.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care, resident and student education, and trauma related clinical and translational research. For applicants interested in physician leadership opportunities we will support an opportunity to receive a MBA for Healthcare Professionals at USA Mitchell College of Business. This position carries a faculty appointment at the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine, rank and salary are commensurate with experience.

Candidates who have completed an accredited training program, and are eligible for and maintain an unrestricted Alabama medical license are eligible to apply.
