Job description

Job Summary:
As a Make-Ready Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing vacant apartment units for new residents. You will be responsible for ensuring that units are cleaned, repaired, and maintained to meet high standards of quality and appeal. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to creating a positive living experience for our residents.
This position will be assigned to float between the following properties:
  • Hillside on Madison
  • Glen Eagles Duplexes
  • Ridge at Rose District
  • Flyway Crossings

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Performs general painting, sheetrock and carpentry repair needs.
  • Check, repair or replace plumbing, electric, appliances, HVAC, window coverings for repair or replacement needs.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance.
  • Performs general cleaning and trash out tasks at the property.
  • Assists in property's grounds repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs general repairs onsite to protect property and residents.
  • Works to refurbish residences prior to occupancy.
  • On call for emergencies.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to provide and use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with residents and vendors.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Pool certification, EPA certification, HVAC certification, Fair Housing Training preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
