About the Role:The property manager works on the Housing Team in NAMI Delawareโs scattered-site housing portfolio serving adults with mental illness and co-occurring disabilities. Responsibilities include tenant relations, lease compliance, inspections, maintenance coordination, vendor management, and regulatory documentation for HUD 808 and 211 properties. This role promotes resident stability, safety, dignity, and access to services while ensuring properties remain in good condition and compliant with all standards.
Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations of affordable housing properties, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Manage tenant relations and address issues promptly to maintain a positive living environment.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring properties are well-maintained and safe.
- Conduct regular property inspections to uphold standards and identify necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to support residents and community initiatives.
- Fill vacencies and complete annual recertifications
- Provide training and support to staff, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
Requirements:- Proven experience in property management, preferably in affordable housing.
- Strong understanding of housing regulations, tenant rights and HUD regulations.ย
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in property management software (Yardi Breeze) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle conflicts diplomatically.
- Commitment to promoting mental health awareness and community support.
- Relevant certifications in property management are a plus.
