Job description

Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse

Location:Hobbs, NM

We are seeking an experienced Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis treatment. You will work closely with patients and their families to ensure they receive the best possible care. We work with one doctor who has a large practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer peritoneal dialysis treatment to patients as prescribed by physicians
  • Assess patients' conditions and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families about peritoneal dialysis treatment and self-care techniques
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and lab results to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain knowledge of current best practices in peritoneal dialysis treatment
Requirements:
  • Current RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in peritoneal dialysis nursing
  • BLS certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Must be willing to participate in on‑call rotation
