Job description

Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse

The Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to hospitalized patients requiring hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), peritoneal dialysis, and related renal replacement therapies. The nurse collaborates with nephrologists, intensivists, hospital staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care in accordance with hospital policies, state regulations, and dialysis standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience: Minimum [1-2 years] of dialysis experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Ability to independently manage acute dialysis treatments in a hospital environment. Acute dialysis critical care experience preferred.

License/Certifications: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Equipment: Experience with priming, operation, and disinfection of dialysis delivery system including operation of the portable reverse osmosis filter preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
