Resident Life Experience Associate

This position assists the Resident Life Experience Coordinator by supporting planned events and supporting opportunities for residents who live in skilled nursing households.  This position supports the resident life team and takes direction from the coordinators.

What You'll Do

  • Observes infection control procedures related to the Resident Life Experience team.
  • Assists, as needed, with conducting MDS interviews as well as GSC Life Experience form.
  •  Participates in resident care plan meetings, as needed.
  • Participates in nursing restorative and rehabilitative programs, as requested.
  • Plans and implements programs for individual, group and 1:1 events based on residents' choice and needs.  
  • Assists with trips and outings.
  • Enters documentation (groups and one-on-ones) in PointClickCare.
  • Supervises and directs volunteers involved in assisting with  programs.
  • Assist residents during mealtimes with eating, as requested (must take the “Helping Hands” class prior to assisting)
  • Accepts assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Comes to work in clean neat attire and consistently presents an appropriate professional appearance.
  • Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Consistently works cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Able to work independently or with a team.
  • Possess some computer skills.
  • Enjoy working with older adults who have varying degrees of physical and/or memory impairment.

Additional Information

This position is part-time (16-20 hours/biweekely). Scheduled hours will be 4:00pm-8:00pm with every other weekend!
