PLEASE NOTE: Salary is dependent on experience. Yamhill County typically hires between steps 1-4 Yamhill County Health and Human has one part-time position for a Maternal Child Health Nurse. The nurse will work within one or more of Yamhill County Public Health's nurse home visit programs including Babies First!, CaCoon, and/or Family Connects Oregon to assess families and ensure they have what they need to create a safe and healthy environment during early childhood.

In addition, the nurses will assess infant growth and development and ensure they have resources and referrals to ongoing care. National Health Service Corp (NHSC) and Oregon Office of Rural Health approved site-loan repayment opportunities available. The Benefits: Yamhill County offers generous employee benefits: 15 paid holidays per year.

19.5 days of Flexible Earned Time (FET) accrual in the first year (based on an 8-hr day).* PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) - 100% employer funded contributions. Full health benefit offerings with employee premiums starting as low as $89.02/month for PPA or $0/month for HMO during current plan year 2026-2027. *(Subject to part-time proration) Additional benefits for HHS employees: $750 and 40 hours of paid time annually for professional development/training

May be subject to successful completion of a background check. Must have an unencumbered Oregon license as a registered professional nurse at the time of appointment. The Candidate: As a successful candidate for this position, you should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be organized and detail oriented in your work, and have the ability to work effectively both alone as well as in a team environment.

It is also expected that you will have excellent customer services skills as you will be expected to interact with co-workers and the public in a courteous, professional manner. As a multi-cultural county and workplace, it is required that you are able to interact and work with people of all backgrounds and life circumstances with respect and dignity. In addition to your training and knowledge in Nursing, you will be expected to be proficient in computer use, including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Ability to secure and maintain a driver's license valid in the state of Oregon is required as you may be required to drive a County vehicle. Employees authorized to operate a private vehicle on County business are required to carry a valid driver's license and liability insurance minimums as outlined in ORS 806.070. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this classification with or without accommodation
