Summary of Job Duties:***Please note - this application is not for a specific position. This posting is used as the initial step to create an account in our system and upload application materials. Safe Ride Driver:
The Safe Ride Driver will drive a 10-14 passenger van on campus and city streets to safely transport students to their residence. This position will perform a prescribed pre-operational and post-operational safety maintenance check, as well as accumulate and record statistics for daily reports on passengers transported using an iPad. The Safe Ride Driver will operate a two-way radio system. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Safe Ride Dispatcher:
The Safe Ride Dispatcher will use the telephone and a desktop computer, Dispatch, help navigate the driver of the Safe Ride van to assist students in securing safe ride transportation when needed. This position will record and maintain statistical data for reports on service usage. Other duties as assigned. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in written form and verbally

  • Experience and ability to work in a diverse environment


Additional Information:

These positions are considered safety sensitive; candidate will be subject to additional backgrounds.

The base work schedule for these positions will be during Safe Ride's Hours of Operations. Weekends are mandatory work days. Overtime work/pay is available and/or may be required.
