Job description

Position: Event Toyota Arena & Ontario Convention Center Parking Lot Attendant
Department: Parking
Reports To: Parking Lead/Manager
Classification: Part-time/On-call/Event based
Compensation: $22.75 an hour

Please note that the Toyota Arena employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and a condition of employment is a union membership.

Position Summary: To assist guests of facilities with directions, information, and guidance in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner, while fulfilling the specific event requirements as determined by the Parking Managers and/or Director of Security. This position will be responsible for Event shifts reporting to work no later then 3pm during event days.


Essential Functions:
* Greets and welcomes guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
* Directs guests to parking spaces.
* Answers questions regarding parking procedures.
* Prohibits unauthorized vehicles from entering restricted areas.
* Receives payment of parking fees
* Balancing unsold parking tickets.
* Set-up and placement before and after each Event.
* Performs other job-related duties as required.

License/Certificate:
None required.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
Ability to:
Deal diplomatically with the public, supervisors and fellow employees.
Skill to:
Maintain effective verbal communications.
Use radio devices.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 30lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time. May be subject to adverse conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.

This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.


This position requires stooping and lifting. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Must be able to pass background.
