JOB TITLE:
MachineProgrammer

Reports To:
FabricationManager

Summary:

The MachineProgrammer reports to the FabricationManagerandis responsible formanufacturing various metal components used in the creation of our storage solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input,modify,and manageUNEX CNCproduct programsin computer softwarewith assistance fromEngineeringdepartment.
  • Ensureraw materialutilizationisoptimizedandworkwith productionto contribute to router, bill of material, andmaterial quality accuracy.
  • Perform regular maintenance ofmachineand work with Maintenance department on upkeep of machine operating systems.
  • Ability to read and understand measurement devices including tape measure, caliper, and various gauges to interpret drawings provided byEngineeringdepartment.
  • Accurately report labor and inventory data transactions at data collection workstations.
  • Perform other job-related duties, which may include occasional tasks outside the normal scope of your job.
  • Comply withall applicable ISO Standards: Quality Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and guidelines.
  • Comply withall applicable OHSA standards: Ensures all equipment guards, safety devices, and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) are always in place andfollowssafe work procedures and safety rules.

ATTENDANCE:

Must be punctual andtimelyin meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    Two yearAssociates Degree/Engineering Experience preferred;
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees oforganization.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Database Software (knowledge of Odoo a plus) Manufacturing Software,CAD experience,familiarity with 3D Modelingsoftware and working knowledge inExcel.

OTHER SKILL, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Use of hand tools and mechanical abilities to perform work assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required touse hands to finger, handle, or feel,sitand stand. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employeeis occasionally required tostoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than50 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While the office is quiet, the noise level in the shop is usuallyhigh and may require hearing protection
