Procurement Analyst

Podium Automation

New York, NY • On-site

$60K - $90K/yr

Full-time

Posted 7 days ago

Job description

Podium Automation is reimagining industrial control panel manufacturing through software-enabled design and automated fabrication. We're building technology to create a new industrial supply chain - reducing lead times for critical electrical equipment from months to days. We've raised over $23M from top-tier investors including Construct Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Transition Ventures, Sunflower Capital, Banter Capital, and SV Angel.
We're hiring a Procurement Analyst to help make on-time delivery the default at Podium. Speed is our core product promise - we commit to 3-4 week lead times for control panels, which leaves 1-2 weeks to source every component a build requires. You'll convert requirements into purchase orders, track orders through receipt, and flag at-risk items early so production never waits on parts.
You'll work day-to-day in our ERP system (Odoo) alongside our AI supply chain platform, and you'll get hands-on exposure to how a growing hardware company builds its procurement function from scratch. You'll partner closely with electrical engineering, operations, and finance to keep every project accurately tracked and costed, and you'll build working relationships with our supplier base.
What You'll Do
  • Issue and manage POs for active projects, keeping cost and lead-time within budget
  • Track BOM lines from PO to receipt across active builds, flagging delays and expediting at-risk items
  • Monitor component demand across the project pipeline and surface long-lead items before they become a problem
  • Help qualify new suppliers and maintain existing vendor relationships
  • Keep procurement data clean and up to date in Odoo; help track on-time delivery and cost variance metrics
  • Flag component alternates, multi-source options, and EOL/change notices to engineering and your manager
  • Support the buildout of procurement processes and supplier scorecards as we scale

Who You Are
There are 4 values that all Podium employees are expected to demonstrate (albeit imperfectly):
  • Win for the customer. We sit on the same side of the table as our customers - their wins are our wins. We're building the vendor we always wished we had.
  • Default to transparency. We believe in honesty, transparency, and kindness. It's about how you get things done and not just what gets done.
  • Speed is a feature. We move fast and take ownership. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
  • Win and lose as a team.Individuals drive inputs, teams drive outputs. We celebrate success together but aren't afraid to fail and iterate. We own outcomes together and don't deflect blame.

What We're Looking For
  • 0-2 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally within a hardware, manufacturing, or electrical/industrial environment
  • Comfortable working in an ERP/MRP system day to day; solid Excel/data skills
  • Strong organizational skills - able to track many open orders and details without dropping the ball
  • Clear communicator, comfortable following up with suppliers directly
  • On-site 5 days/week at our Brooklyn, NY HQ

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to electrical or electromechanical components -- PLCs, VFDs, enclosures, wire and cable, or similar
  • Experience with Odoo
  • Interest in growing into a larger supply chain ownership role as the company scales
