Janitorial Supervisor - Evenings
Join a growing Michigan company providing janitorial and floor maintenance for over 60 years. We are accepting applications for a full-time Supervisor in the Tri-City area (Saginaw). The supervisor oversees the associate's scheduling, training, safety, and quality inspection.
Purpose: Ensuring safe and efficient operations by managing accounts and employees to deliver high-quality services and maintain the company’s profitability.
Shift: Full Time Evening Shift
Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Directly control budgeted man-hours for assigned locations.
- Inspect assigned locations using Otuvy to ensure that work performed satisfies company and customer quality standards to ensure account retention.
- Assist management in developing and improving work schedules.
- Train personnel for each site you are responsible for.
- Ensure all applicable safety standards are being adhered to.
- Reallocate work as required due to personnel shortage or special requirements.
- Resolve day-to-day operations problems and make management aware of them.
- Ensure all RBS/Client rules are adhered to.
- Coordinate and motivate subordinates and their workloads. Clearly understand actual hours versus control hours and how these impact the account and company.
- Build good rapport and communications with immediate subordinates.
- Solicit employee ideas, solutions, support, and participation.
- Keep subordinates informed.
- Praise subordinates and recognize good ideas.
- Give employees honest feedback of job performance.
- Counsel employees on personal concerns they may have about the company, management, proposed changes, or events by clearing up any misunderstandings.
- Set high standards and keep subordinates working toward them.
- Identify and develop employees for promotion and additional responsibilities.
- Ensure all paperwork is submitted as required by RBS (safety, timekeeping, reports, etc.)
- Maintain an adequate stock of equipment and supplies on site.
- Continually evaluate methods, procedures, and materials for purposes of improving performance and reducing cost of operations.
- Ensure the proper handling of customer complaints and problems in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform front line duties as necessary to satisfy the customer.
- Implement changes in contractual requirement when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred in janitorial services, with a minimum of one year of supervision.
- Prefer knowledge of cleaning operations.
- Must live within the Tri-City area.
- Must have good communication skills, be well organized, and complete tasks promptly.
- Ability to follow directions from the operations manager and customer.
- Excellent attendance and being on time are a must.
- Minimal Technical Skills: PC/software: Basic skills in Excel/Word/and other Microsoft Office components.
- Be “POSITIVE AND ENTHUSIASTIC.”
Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation required, and must be able to pass a background check, fingerprinting, & drug screening.
