Job description

We are looking for a passionate Exercise Physiologist to help us optimize our clients' fitness and health benefits. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be employed in the Stress Testing area.In the Stress Testing area you will perform a variety of exercise and pharmacologic stress tests. Depending on the work assignment, the Exercise Physiologist may administer physician-ordered cardiopulmonary exercise assessments including exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress tests and/or develop and guide exercise treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases primarily including but not limited to cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic disorders.

The Exercise Physiologist recognizes and responds immediately and appropriately to potential emergency situations that may arise, and makes clinical decisions about safety and contraindications of assessment/testing/training procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in exercise physiology or similar science-based allied health curriculum
  • BSN, ACSM Certified clinical exercise physiologist eligible
  • 3 to 6 month clinical internship in stress testing
  • ACLS certification by the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire
  • Strong cardiology background preferred
