Global Environmental & Industrial Response, LLCis looking for a Superintendent. The Superintendent position supports operations by overseeing the work of the supervisors and ensuring the day-to-day field work is properly managed and executed to Global's standards.

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities, specializing in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs, and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites is collected, transported, and disposed of by local, state, and federal regulations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Communicate with the project coordinators, operation managers and project managers on day-to-day jobs.
  • Keeps track of shop inventory and communicates with Operations on inventory needs (tools, equipment, etc.) and help with orders.
  • Prepare and set up jobs for the following day.
  • Ensure that all supervisors and crew leads are conducting pre-cons with project managers prior to the start of projects.
  • Make adjustments with resources in the morning as needed to accomplish the jobs of the day.
  • Develop and train employees in the field.
  • Must be able to read, interpret plans/construction drawings/specifications for any job scope across the board in our industry (Sulfuric, Hydro-Blasting, Emergency Response Spills)
  • Must enforce Global's strict safety policy and always adhere to it.
  • Ensure that Supervisors and Crew Leads are maintaining constant communication with the Project Managers assigned to their job.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot any issues on any job (sulfuric and hydro-blasting) at any given time.
  • Monitor and manage overhead hours for employees approved to work at the shop.
  • Assist operations with interviewing applicants.
  • Monitor work schedule throughout the day.
  • Complete and submit Superintendent's daily reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Enforce Fleetio and maintain up-to-date inspections of all equipment and vehicles.
  • Communicate to the Operations Manager and Fleet Manager the equipment repair needs.
  • Work with the team to complete assigned tasks.
  • Communicate with subordinates regarding safety, project updates, and human resources issues.
  • Reports staff attendance to the Operations Manager Daily.
  • Follow GEIR safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Supervise high-profile projects and outages that require large manpower.
  • Supervise all overhead projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of minimum experience in the Industrial or Environmental Emergency Response required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be able to interface with employees at all levels of the company. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
