Job description

Quality Engineer II – Aerospace

Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (OT as needed)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

Seeking a Quality Engineer II to join our Los Angeles team. In this role, you’ll provide quality assurance support for hydromechanical and electromechanical products used in fabrication, assembly, and testing. This is a hands-on position requiring strong collaboration with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support quality assurance across manufacturing, assembly, and test operations.

  • Review/approve product drawings, test procedures, and First Article Reports (FAIRs).

  • Manage non-conforming material processes and lead MRB activities.

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCCA), process improvements, and support audits.

  • Drive customer satisfaction by managing RMAs, failures, and corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and Eaton’s Quality Management System.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of quality engineering disciplines, PFMEA, and problem-solving tools (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • U.S. Person status required (due to ITAR regulations).

  • Must live within commuting distance of Los Angeles, CA (no relocation provided).

Preferred:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).

  • Experience with GD&T, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.

  • Background in hydraulic/hydromechanical assembly & testing.
