Job description

Embassy Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring the hotel remains clean, well-organized, and welcoming while meeting corporate and franchise standards.


Responsibilities include assisting with all areas of housekeeping operations, such as overseeing supplies, linens, equipment, work orders, and other duties as assigned.


Applicants must have flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Compensation:

$18 - $19 per hour


Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in the supervision of all housekeeping associates. Also, assists in the scheduling and training of all staff.
  • Responds to guests' requests and complaints concerning the housekeeping department.
  • Inspects guest rooms to ensure that the quality of work and hotel standards are maintained.
  • Maintains contact with the Front Desk and Sales. Approves rooms for occupancy and notifies the front desk.
  • Fills in for the Executive Housekeeper in his/her absence.
  • Assists the Executive Housekeeper with monthly inventories of guest and housekeeping supplies. 
  • Assigns rooms to housekeepers and issues housekeeping keys.
  • Ensures that staff are in adherence to hotel uniform/grooming standards at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping techniques required.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Open availability to include weekends and holidays.
