Residential Coordinator

Location: New Jersey
Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Schedule (Includes Evenings, Weekends amp; On-Call as Needed)

At New Horizons in Autism, we're committed to helping adults with autism live meaningful, independent lives. We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and hands-on Residential Coordinator to provide leadership across our residential programs while ensuring exceptional care, regulatory compliance, and a positive environment for both the individuals we support and our team.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple residential homes and support Residential Managers and Direct Support Professionals.

  • Ensure homes meet all DDD, Medicaid, and licensing standards.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance support to residential staff.

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and emergency coverage as needed.

  • Conduct safety inspections, fire drills, quality assurance reviews, and compliance audits.

  • Monitor documentation, medication administration, incident reporting, and program records.

  • Support individuals with autism by promoting independence, community participation, daily living skills, and person-centered care.

  • Collaborate with clinical, quality assurance, and leadership teams to ensure outstanding service delivery.

  • Serve as a role model by fostering a positive, respectful, and mission-driven work environment.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of one year of experience supporting individuals with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

  • Leadership or supervisory experience in residential services is preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to respond calmly to emergencies and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Valid New Jersey driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to operate agency vehicles.

  • Must successfully complete required background checks, drug screening, and mandatory training.
