This position would oversee grocery retailer stores and the Live Goods Merchandisers servicing those stores


As a Team Leader - Live Goods Merchandising, your workday may include:

  • Supervise a team of merchandisers that service grocery retailer stores daily
  • Assist in Hiring and training employees, dealing with conflicts and motivating employees
  • Train employees on product knowledge, store watering, maintaining a safe and clean display area, how to receive and stage a variety of outdoor plants in areas designated by store and Plan- O-Gram (POG), ensuring proper signage is in place and removing/recording unsaleable plant material
  • Communicate daily with employees on projects and tasks completed
  • Continuously analyze the needs of the stores and adjust team as needed
  • Review photos and summary of tasks performed from merchandisers
  • Assist in store coverage when a regular merchandiser is unavailable
  • Build strong, positive relationships with Floral Manager, Store Managers, store associates and Growers
  • Document/capture information of all stores in assigned area
  • Train all Live Goods Merchandisers on the use of the Go Spot Check mobile application
  • Monitor all Live Goods Merchandiser activity on the Go Spot Check mobile application
  • This position is primarily a field position with approximately 5% of admin work


As a Team Leader, Live Goods Merchandiser, you will be required to have:

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
  • Ability to use social media apps such as GroupMe or Whatsapp for team communication
  • Ability to lift, push and carry up to 30lbs repetitively
  • Smart phone
  • Dependable transportation
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to understand and follow a store Plan-O-Gram (POG)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact comfortably when in person with store personnel, Live Goods Merchandisers and customers
  • 1 year or more management experience over multiple locations/teams
  • Ability to travel regularly within assigned area
  • Ability to work outside in all conditions
