JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technician I, Field Ops- Residential to join our team at Ezee Fiber. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and activating fiber services at customer premises, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. This is a position that is ideal for individuals eager to grow their technical skills in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

   Install fiber services at customer homes, including termination, splicing, and testing.    Install, configure, and troubleshoot Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).    Manage work orders independently, meet SLAs, and document job details.    Perform splicing and identify faults using fiber loss testing.    Maintain inventory of tools and fiber components.    Provide professional service and educate customers on fiber technology.    Follow safety protocols and company policies during all field operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in fiber optics are a plus. Minimum of six (6) months to two (2) years of experience or training in fiber splicing and troubleshooting.    Basic understanding of fiber optic systems and customer premise equipment.    Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.    Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.    Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.    Valid driver's license and clean driving record.    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and on call as needed.

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. 

OUTDOOR REQUIREMENTS 

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds as needed. Tolerate exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and uneven or slippery surfaces. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during all applicable tasks.
