Job description

We are currently seeking an additional attorney to join our growing Estate Planning and Business Succession Practice. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney who enjoys working closely with clients and business owners to develop tailored estate planning and succession strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding client service. This position can be based at any of our office locations: Omaha, Nebraska; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; or Sioux City, Iowa.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client consultations and assess estate planning needs
  • Draft and review estate planning documents including Revocable/Irrevocable Trusts and advanced planning documents
  • Maintain strong, long-term client relationships through clear communication and thoughtful counsel
  • Ability to handle all aspects of probate and estate administration, including intestate and testate proceedings is preferred, not required.
  • Guide clients through planning and funding processes with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Identify and resolve potential estate and fiduciary tax issues
  • Stay informed of changes in estate, tax, and probate law relevant to client matters
Qualifications:
  • 3–7 years of experience in estate planning, estate administration preferred, not required
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning tools, techniques, and tax implications
  • Exceptional drafting, research, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Active bar membership required in one, but preferred in more, of the following Nebraska, Iowa and/or South Dakota.
