Job description

The Epic Provider Super User role at Sarasota Memorial Hospital is a critical position supporting the upcoming Epic system go-live. This role involves providing in-depth, at-the-elbow support to physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) during the transition, ensuring smooth adoption of clinical workflows within the Epic platform. The position requires experienced clinicians familiar with Epic, particularly in the Stork (OBGYN/Mother Baby) or Radiant (Radiology) modules, and demands strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time support for physicians and APPs during Epic go-live
  • Assist with Epic navigation, documentation workflows, and order entry
  • Troubleshoot user issues and provide immediate solutions
  • Reinforce training and ensure adherence to clinical workflows
  • Escalate complex issues to the command center as needed
  • Work shift-based coverage including evenings, nights, and weekends with majority Monday-Friday daytime hours
  • Support for either Stork (OBGYN/Mother Baby) or Radiant (Radiology) Epic modules
  • Work onsite 50-55 hours per week during go-live period

Required Qualifications

  • Prior Epic go-live or At-the-Elbow support experience, specifically for APPs/NPs or experienced nurses
  • Experience supporting physicians and APPs in clinical workflows
