Live-In Caregiver *Must Drive* (Sag Harbor)
Home Instead, Hampton Bays is looking for AWESOME Individuals to provide compassion and a caring attitude toward enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our Long Island Community. ***We are looking for live-in caregivers who drive. Having your own car is a plus.***
***HHA, PCA & CNA certifications are a plus.***
Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion, while enhancing the lives of our CARE Pros by creating a passion with a purpose, not just a job.
We provide paid skills training necessary for the role, you bring the empathy and understanding, and we will teach you the skills.
Responsibilities and Duties: Personal care tasks that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
• Bathing and going to the toilet / incontinence care
• Personal grooming and dressing
• Meal preparation, eating, and taking patient on walks
• Performing light housekeeping tasks
• Running errands such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, accompanying to doctor appointments
• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Transportation and shopping
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Please note that you will be required to:
• Complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance (required if driving clients)
Range of Compensation for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 hourly.
