At Sunshine Animal Hospital we have been serving Springfield, Missouri and the surrounding areas for more than 30 years. We are seeking one or two full/part‑time associates to join our team. Our hospital offers a wide range of services including surgery, ultrasound, digital radiographs, a complete Abaxis laboratory, and therapy laser. We are state licensed for wildlife rehabilitation and have a skilled supportive staff to work with multiple veterinarians. Our owner, Dr. Kathryn Mainka, values collaboration, teaching, and continuous learning, making Sunshine Animal Hospital a great place to grow your veterinary career. In addition to caring for animals and doing what we love, we encourage a healthy work/life balance. We feel fortunate to live and work in an area that offers so many activities outside of work.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care for companion pets and exotics
  • Perform surgeries, ultrasounds, digital radiographs, and therapy laser treatments
  • Utilize Covetrus Pulse cloud‑based software and tablets for appointments
  • Collaborate with support staff and veterinarians on patient cases
  • Participate in wildlife rehabilitation for small mammals, reptiles, and marsupials
Required Skills
  • Experience in small animal care and preventive care
  • Proficiency in digital radiography and dental prophylaxis
  • Ability to perform anesthesia, surgery, and emergency care
