Do you have experience being a live-in caregiver for the elderly?

Are you looking to make money and save up for something? Are you looking for a change?

Would you be willing to live with a client for a specified amount of time in order to care for them? 

If so, we want you on our caregiving team!

What: We are looking for caregivers willing to live with and help care for clients (mainly fragile, ill, disabled, and/or elderly) in their homes for extended periods of time (weeks, months, sometimes even years). 

When: 24/7 live-in for weeks to months at at time 

Where: Clients are located throughout the eastern Cleveland- area suburbs (Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Northern Portage and Northern Summit Counties).

Qualifications

  • 18 years or age or older
  • Valid driver's license (preferred but not required)
  • Comfortable with pets (preferred but not required)
  • Covid-19 vaccination (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to pas a criminal background check (We pay for BCIs! No cost to you.)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Available to live with the client for days, to months, at a time 
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred but not required). We'll train, if you're willing to learn!
  • Ability and willingness to complete online continuing education training classes
  • Reliability: Professionalism and discipline to arrive to clients' homes, on time, every time
  • Hoyer lift experience (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, such as showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist them with monitoring vitals
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
  • Plan and prepare meals and/or assist with feeding
  • Run errands for the client or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Keep the clients engaged in favorite activities and conversation
  • Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Light housekeeping
  • Live in the home with the client for extended periods of time
