Job description

The Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking a Cleared American Guard (CAG). The CAG will provide construction security guard services for DIA facilities under construction aboard Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position ($32.93 per hour for up to 40 hours per week) is comprised of a base hourly rate of $28.00 plus $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations.

The above rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including specified holidays, paid sick and vacation leave, and 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Perform access control functions at all vehicle and pedestrian entrances to the Secure Construction Site (SCS) and/or Secure Storage Area (SSA) during hours of operations.

These activities include, but are not limited to:

Screening all workers, vehicles, and equipment entering or exiting the SCS and/or SSA in accordance with the Construction Site Plan (CSP).

Denying introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other items as specified by the Site Security Manager (SSM), Security Project Manager (SPM), and/or Construction Security Plan (CSP).

Conducting random inspections of all site areas to ensure no prohibited materials have been brought on to the site.

Reporting or notifying all suspicious materials or incidents to the SSM.

Monitoring the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).

Perform other security related duties as required by the SSM such as roving patrols and escorting personnel and/or vehicles.

Operation may involve 24/7 /365 operations to safeguard the SCS.

Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS each day as directed by the SSM.

All personnel shall maintain a professional appearance, are required to wear a company uniform with company logo. Staff shall have Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) associated with construction projects, complete safety training/briefing as required by on-site GC who is responsible for enforcing safety regulations for the project. PPE, to include, but not limited to properly worn hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, footwear, and outerwear as appropriate for anticipated weather condition.
