Your Job
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Northwest Service Centers in Portland, Oregon. This position operates within a 24/7 industrial distribution environment and regularly partners with warehouse personnel, equipment operators, transportation providers, and operations leaders to safely and efficiently execute customer shipments. This role provides broad exposure to warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation execution, and supply chain systems. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to develop deep operational knowledge, create value across the organization, and explore future leadership opportunities within distribution and supply chain operations
Our Team
At NWSC, we develop employees who make decisions aligned with company principles and improve site performance by understanding both the physical and transactional sides of our operation. We are building one integrated operations team where warehouse execution, transportation coordination, inventory management, and logistics execution work together toward a shared objective: Safe operations, customer service standards , inventory accuracy, and measurable improvements in operational performance . Each team member contributes to those outcomes by working across functions, completing assigned responsibilities, developing job-related skills, and supporting process improvements.
For this role we anticipate paying $25 hourly.
What You Will Do
  • Coordinate and execute shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation activities using warehouse management systems, SAP, and other business applications
  • Partner with warehouse operations, transportation providers, and customer service teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient product movement
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and operational exceptions that impact customer service and site performance
  • Monitor trailer flow and transportation activities to support customer commitments and operational priorities
  • Utilize business systems, reports, and operational data to identify and solve problems.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety, service, inventory accuracy, and operational performance.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, SAP, or other enterprise business software

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience in warehouse operations, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments
  • Experience using SAP, SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA, or similar warehouse management platforms
  • Experience managing inventory, shipping, receiving, transportation, or carrier-related processes
  • Experience working effectively across both operational and administrative functions
  • Demonstrated leadership through work experience, military service, education, athletics, volunteer organizations, or other environments
