Harvest Assistant

Verdes Cannabis | Albuquerque, NM
Pay: $18.00 per hour | Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Position Summary

Verdes Cannabis is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Harvest Assistant to support the harvesting and processing of cannabis plants. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving plant handling, equipment operation, cleaning and accurate tracking of weights, batches and barcode labels.

What You'll Do
  • Retrieve live plants from grow rooms
  • Separate plants into flower, trim and waste
  • Operate and maintain trimming and bucking equipment
  • Weigh, label and transfer flower and trim batches
  • Accurately complete harvest logs and track barcode labels
  • Clean harvested rooms and remove plant debris, containers and grow supplies
  • Wash and sanitize pots, trays and equipment
  • Assist the Grow and Dry/Cure teams as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately read and record dates, weights and barcodes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Ability to follow harvesting procedures and safety requirements
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clear communication skills
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, including occasional weekends, holidays and snow days
  • Ability to pass state and national criminal background checks
Physical Requirements
  • Stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time
  • Lift at least 50 pounds
  • Frequently bend, stoop, climb and reach
  • Work in confined spaces and hot, cold or humid conditions
  • Tolerate strong smells, plant materials, dust and other potential irritants
  • Perform repetitive, dirty and labor-intensive tasks
