Description:

Under direction of the Chief Engineer, Lead Maintenance Technician, or other appropriate administrative staff responsible for general maintenance and/or minor repairs to buildings and grounds and to perform related tasks as required.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must have own dependable transportation capable of carrying extension ladders and other equipment.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to work in the capacity of a mobile maintenance technician.
  • Employee will be required to provide necessary hand tools customary to perform most routine job functions.
  • Must be familiar with ADA requirements.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Must be able lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work off of ladders at various heights.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow product manuals and safety instructions.
  • Makes minor repairs and inspections of equipment.
  • Completes timecards and other routine records for proper reporting and record keeping.
  • Performs general repairs such as painting, patching walls, hanging shelves, and landscaping.
  • Operates machinery and equipment.
  • Arranges desks, files, and other office equipment.
  • Performs janitorial, maintenance and other related tasks as required.
  • Knowledge in maintenance supplies, equipment, materials, and methods used in janitorial work.
  • Replaces lamps, ballasts and performs other minor electrical repairs.
  • Meets and deals tactfully and courteously with fellow employees, vendors, contractors and clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance and operations.
  • Has or can obtain an electrical apprenticeship license.
  • Has or can obtain a boiler operator permit.
  • Experience in commercial real estate, hospitals, schools or other similar work experience is preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English.
