What qualifications do you need to work at an apartment complex?

To work as a live-in building maintenance technician, candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, or HVAC systems. Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling or OSHA safety training can be beneficial, and prior maintenance experience is often preferred.

What are live in building maintenance workers?

Live in building maintenance workers are individuals who reside on the premises of the buildings they maintain, such as apartment complexes or commercial properties. Their main responsibilities include performing routine repairs, addressing emergency maintenance issues, and ensuring that the building’s systems (like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC) are functioning properly.
