- A Dining Advisory Board Member works 7-10 hours per week.
- Scheduling is flexible and based on academic availability and operational need.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
The purpose of the Dining Advisory Board (DAB) is to present suggestions, concerns, praises and ideas of the larger campus community to the management of the Dining and Culinary Services' department. DAB exists to enhance the voice of the student body by working with dining managers and administrators. DAB members are to obtain relevant feedback to better serve our customers as well as act as advocates for the department by informing constituents, being those students who live in their represented residence hall, about dining operations.
- Spend an average of two hours per week talking with, and soliciting feedback from, constituents in their represented residence halls and dining hall about the Dining & Culinary Services operation.
- Gather information from constituents and report information to help solve issues.
- Attend meetings with Dining Hall Managers every other week.
- Attend meeting every other week with senior staff members of Dining and Culinary Services.
- Report the progress of issues raised at the meetings.
- Work two shifts (average three hours each shift) in the dining units during the first month of employment.
- Communicate with other DAB members and coordinators to discuss issues raised in other units.
- Work a special event in their unit each semester and solicit feedback from attendees.
- Take meeting minutes as assigned and email typed minutes to DAB members and coordinators no later than Friday in the week of the meeting.
- Deliver a summary presentation at the end of each semester.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a resident of University Housing to be eligible to apply.
- Placement of location for dining unit will be based on applicant's residence hall location.
- Cannot be a current Dining and Culinary Services employee at time of application or duration of appointment.
- Satisfactory results of a confidential criminal background check are required.
