The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We're looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

The QA Engineer III (API) owns the quality testing of internally-developed delivery platforms and fleetware systems. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality weekly releases, various testing initiatives related to cloud infrastructure, API test automation, security engineering, regulatory response, third party integration testing and incident response capabilities feature testing. This position participates in research, development, demos and new product initiatives testing that align with company goals and will be required to collaborate across many teams.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in APIs
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues
  • Extending Test Framework for API's and Front end/Backend testing
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on software quality and performance
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans for autonomous vehicle software and systems
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks
  • Take part in our continuous improvement quest to make our robots more autonomous and safe every day
  • Present test artifacts and test reports to a wide range of audience for release readiness to Staging environments
  • Collaborate with development and engineering teams to understand system requirements and functionality
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger or Karate automation framework

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Software testing or Quality Assurance
  • Proficient in API testing, automation with basic programming skills like scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation
  • Strong understanding of API testing principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Comfortable working in high ambiguity situations and balancing multiple changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and body formats
  • Safety first mindset
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and work closely with engineering teams to resolve them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences ranging from technicians to senior executives
  • Experience with issue tracking, configuration management tools, workflows and practices such as JIRA
  • Experience making data driven decisions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Experience with test automation tools is a plus
  • Knowledge in REST API Testing and exposure to tools like Postman, or Swagger
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: automotive,robotics, logistics
  • Experience in data analysis of test results including probability and statistical analysis techniques
