Job description

All Saints, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for an Executive Director to join our growing team.
All Saints Senior Living is located one mile off Highway 169 in Shakopee, Minnesota. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our gorgeous 84-unit, apartment-style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care services. All Saints provides stable leadership team and welcoming staff. Join our team today!
Position: Executive Director
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience
Service Area: 1880 Independence Drive, Shakopee, MN 55379
Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Full - Time / Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (MOD rotation)

In this position, you will lead and direct the overall operations of the facility in accordance with customer needs, government regulations, and company policy and procedure, with the focus of maintaining excellent care for the residents/tenants while achieving the facility's business objectives.
Position Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Lead all department leadership and operations in achieving the company mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives.
  • Lead the facility management staff and consultants in developing and working from a business plan that focuses on all aspects of facility operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.
  • Monitor each department's activities, communicate policies, evaluates performance, provides feedback, assists, and observes coaches and disciplines as needed.
  • Develop an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem solving, and empowerment in the development of the facility management team.
  • Oversee and conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility, morale of the staff, and ensure resident and tenant needs are being addressed.
  • Exhibit positive customer service both to internal and external customers through the ongoing support and implementation of customer service initiatives and business objectives.
  • Utilize survey information to address areas of importance as defined by customers.
  • Ensure consultants and other support resources are appropriately utilized, all staff is appropriately trained, and a high level of interdepartmental teamwork is maintained.
  • Ensure the building and grounds are appropriately maintained and that equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly, and any hazardous conditions are timely addressed.
  • Monitor Human Resources to ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and to ensure practices maintain high morale and staff retention, including effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and a proactive work environment.
  • Develop positive relationships on behalf of the company with government regulators, residents, tenants, families, area healthcare providers, physicians, and the community.
  • Manage facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables, and receivables.
  • Ensure a marketing strategy for the facility is developed and implemented that reflects service opportunities, completion, potential market area changes, and maximizes census, payer mix, and ancillary revenues.
  • Knowledge and adherence to safety/disaster preparedness plan.
  • All other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
Experience and Education
  • Assisted Living - Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) Required within the state of operation (MN), Administrator of record with CBRF Required in WI, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) Preferred, within the state of operation.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility - Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) Required, within the state of operation, Administrator of record with CBRF Required in WI.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility with Assisted Living responsibility - LALD & LNHA Required, within the state of operation, Administrator of record with CBRF Required in WI.
  • Bachelor's degree in health administration, Gerontology, Business, Marketing or another related field is Preferred.
  • Experience in marketing, sales, and/or advertising required.
  • Minimum of two years management or supervisory experience in long-term care or acute care required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of computer systems, including email use.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Clear understanding that all injuries/accidents must be reported immediately.
  • Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
