Job Details:

Pay: $19.70/Per hour + $ 1.00/hour Shift differential for 2nd shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with possible Saturdays


Stay on Bonus
$500 at 30 days in live hang position
$500 at 90 days in live hang position
$1,000 at 180 days (6 months) in live hang position

Job Summary:
Hangs live birds in a shackle. Located after the cage dumper; is the first chain driven operation. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back. The hangers will place any DOAs into DO barrel at end of conveyor.

Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 181-day waiting period before you can reapply.

Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
