Purpose/Scope:
  • To transfer live birds from a moving conveyor belt to a moving shackle assembly line.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Pick up birds from a moving conveyor belt and hang by both legs on a moving shackle assembly line.
  • Pick up live birds from the floor and put back on conveyor.
  • Pick up and dispose of dead birds.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Use required PPE and follows all safety guidelines of the Company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: (Required/Desired)
Skills & knowledge needed for the effective performance of essential job functions:
  • Prior Live Hang experience (full time or part time) - Required.
  • Able to hang birds properly by both legs.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
  • Able to work at a quick, steady, and repetitive pace.
Physical requirements:
  • Stand duration of shift - all scheduled hours.
  • Workable use of both hands and able to grasp.
  • Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Able to reach, bend, push, pull, and stoup.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
Environmental conditions:
  • Warm to hot temperatures, wet, dirty, and dusty environment.
  • Dimly lit area.
  • Moderate to loud sound levels.
