Duration: 2 month contract (extensions possible)
Compensation Range: $25-30/hr W2

Job Description:
This role supports live event production with a strong emphasis on audio engineering, including mixing, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless AV operations in fast-paced environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Set up, test, and operate audio/visual equipment for live events, meetings, and conferences

  • Perform live audio mixing using digital mixers (ideally Yamaha or similar)

  • Troubleshoot signal flow and audio issues in real time (Dante, Biamp, Crestron/Extron environments)

  • Mic speakers and manage audio levels for panel discussions, presentations, and keynotes

  • Support Zoom and hybrid event setups, including audio/video integration

  • Run cabling, configure equipment, and ensure all systems are event-ready

  • Collaborate with AV team members and event stakeholders to execute seamless events

  • Assist with basic presentation support (PowerPoint, video playback, etc.)

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of hands-on AV or audio engineering experience

  • Strong experience with live audio mixing and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with digital audio mixers (Yamaha preferred)

  • Understanding of signal flow and audio systems (Dante strongly preferred but not required)

  • Experience supporting live events, conferences, or production environments

  • Proficiency with Zoom and basic Microsoft Office tools

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced, client-facing environments

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Crestron, Extron, or Biamp systems

  • Background in music production or studio audio engineering

  • Experience with Q-SYS/Tesira or similar DSP platforms

  • Inventory management or AV equipment tracking experience

  • Experience in higher education, corporate events, or conference environments
