Federal Work Study Student Worker, Part-time
Campus: LIU Post
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
As a Student Worker for Campus Concierge, you will serve as an information hub for all questions regarding the campus. You will be required to field a wide range of questions and lend assistance primarily to LIU Post students and visiting guests. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to guests both on and off campus, greeting guests at the front desk, answering phones, opening and closing Hillwood Commons, collaborating with staff to resolve customer inquiries, ensure quality support is provided to LIU Post students, and other duties as assigned the office of Conference Services and LIU Promise.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests both on and off campus
  • Greet guests at our front desk
  • Answer phones
  • Ensure quality support is provided to LIU Post students and guest.
  • Open and close Hillwood Commons.
  • Assist in walking/ guiding students to other buildings.
  • Other duties as assigned the office.

Education Requirements:
Must be an LIU Post Student granted federal work study through Enrollment Services.
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
On-site training will be provided to all Student Workers during their first week of employment.
Working Conditions:
Student workers will work at the Campus Concierge front desk and will provided a phone to assist with daily operations of our office.
Materials & Equipment:
You will be provided with a work shirt that must be worn on your shifts.
Salary: $17 per hour
