What is a Little Gym instructor?

A Little Gym instructor is a trained professional who leads classes for children at The Little Gym, a franchise that offers physical development programs for kids. Instructors teach gymnastics, dance, sports skills, and other activities designed to promote motor skills, coordination, confidence, and socialization in a fun and safe environment. They create engaging lesson plans, ensure child safety, and foster a positive learning atmosphere. Little Gym instructors also communicate with parents about their child's progress and help maintain the facility.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Little Gym instructor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Little Gym Instructor, you need a background in physical education, child development, or a related field, often supported by CPR/first aid certification. Familiarity with gym equipment, class management software, and safety protocols is typically required. Exceptional communication, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate and engage young children are crucial soft skills. These abilities ensure a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters children's physical and social growth.

What are some common challenges faced by instructors at The Little Gym, and how can they be addressed?

Instructors at The Little Gym often face the challenge of engaging children with varying attention spans and physical abilities in a group setting. Balancing safety, fun, and skill development requires creativity and patience. Building strong communication with both children and their parents, as well as collaborating closely with fellow instructors, helps create a positive environment. Ongoing training and a supportive team culture are key to overcoming these challenges and ensuring a rewarding experience for both instructors and participants.

Job description

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job description:

Now Hiring: Linen Specialist at Sea Gypsy Rentals

$20/hour โ€ข Health Benefits & Mileage Reimbursement

At Sea Gypsy Rentals, we do hospitality with a twist-and we're looking for a hardworking, detail-loving, stair-climbing Linen Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This isn't just a laundry job. You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our condos stocked with fresh linens while keeping our operations running smoothly. Our ideal candidate is someone who likes to plan their day, works efficiently, and isn't afraid of a little hustle.

  • Schedule: Although your schedule may be subject to change initially, we are seeking someone to work 4-5 days a week, starting at 3:00 PM (shifts average 6-10 hours). Weekend coverage is part of the deal.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to carry 50 lbs and handle three flights of stairs-repeatedly.
  • Transport Required: You'll be moving linens between our local properties and laundry facility, so you'll need a valid driver's license and your own vehicle. We reimburse mileage.
Perks & Pay
  • Benefits include a 70/30 employer/employee split on health insurance (with vision included), plus sick pay after 90 days and vacation pay after your first 12 months. There's a free gym membership at a local gym, and dental, life, and other elective benefits are available. Also, once per year, employees get a free stay at one of our properties, which is a pretty great way to remember why we do this in the first place.
Why You'll Love It Here

We're a locally owned business, not a corporate chain. Our team is tight-knit, our condos have personality (seriously-each one has a name likeShrimp DaddyorShips & Giggle), and we take pride in offering clean, comfortable spaces for our guests.

Experience is great, but not required-we're happy to train the right person. If you're reliable, efficient, and ready to be part of a team that actually cares, we want to hear from you.
