Outside Maintenance / Groundskeeper

Sonstegard Farms, Sioux County Sheldon, IA

Starting pay based on experience and qualifications, plus:

This position will directly report to the Farm Manager and work with all Management and Production Team. Primarily responsible for performing minor building, grounds maintenance, bird movement, litter removal and vehicle maintenance as necessary. Responsible for compliance with all company policies, SQF regulations and local, state, and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Perform an extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment under general supervision.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings.
  • Movement of live birds and spent hens.
  • Haul manure.
  • Manure removal from barns.
  • Ensure safe use of equipment.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license

Experience with skid loaders and payloaders

CDL a plus

Bilingual a plus.
