The Opportunity:
HKA is looking for an experienced consultant to join our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages team in Dallas. Qualified candidates will bring a track record of direct experience in Forensic Accounting, Commercial Damages, Valuation, and Litigation Support.
Location: Dallas, TX - daily in office, must be located in Dallas or surrounding area currently.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Litigation Support and other client focus areas by collatingresearch and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Leverage your expertise in Valuation to deliver high-quality consulting work on client projects, including damages analysis.
  • Conduct fact-based investigations to test the validity of allegations using proven investigative approaches and the latest technology.
  • Lead the production/drafting of Expert reports with guidance from Expert Witness.
  • Communicate with clients using varying levels of complexity to relay data, findings and suggestions and manage their expectations effectively.
  • Assist with building complex models to analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Conduct technology-enabled analysis of data to identify anomalies, relationships, or trends using the latest analytics and visualization platforms.
  • Work within deadlines/priorities acrossmultiple projects, delegating/collaborating with team members.
  • Assist with Business Development activities.

Skills and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years as a CPA, CFE, Forensic Accountant, or in a similar consulting role.
  • Valuation Experience: Minimum of 2 years in roles focusing on Valuation.
  • Litigation Consulting Support:
    • Minimum 2 years in forensic or financial consulting roles with a strong focus on litigation support, including:
      • Supporting expert witnesses and collaborating with legal teams
      • Drafting and managing expert reports for commercial disputes
      • Analyzing and calculating damages
  • Technical Skills: Solid background in data analysis and financial modeling; experience with SQL is preferred but not required.
