Job description

Based in New York, NY, we are a full-service law firm with a long history of excellence known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The Construction Litigation Group is expanding and seeking experienced Construction Litigation Associates to join a growing team representing clients in complex construction disputes NYS Labor Law defense and construction defect and property damage claims. This role is ideal for seasoned litigators who value direct client contact courtroom work and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to construction litigation NYS Labor Law defense and construction defect and property damage claims
  • Draft pleadings discovery requests motions and related litigation documents with accuracy and efficiency while advising clients on construction litigation strategy risk management and insurance coverage issues
  • Represent clients in depositions court appearances and motion practice in state and federal courts while developing case strategies and delivering exceptional client service
  • Respond to catastrophic events by meeting with clients developing litigation defenses and providing immediate strategic counsel and risk assessment


Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials and an active New York Bar license in good standing (New Jersey Bar admission a plus)
  • 2+ years of litigation experience with emphasis on construction NYS Labor Law defense and property damage claims (junior and senior candidates considered)
  • Strong organizational communication and time management skills with demonstrated professional judgment problem-solving ability and decision-making skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex issues clearly and proficiency with legal research platforms case management systems and electronic document platforms preferred
