The Associate General Counsel, Sales will serve as a key legal advisor to our Sales organization, partnering closely with business leaders to support growth while managing legal and compliance risk. What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary legal partner to the Sales organization on strategic and day-to-day commercial matters
  • Advise on customer agreements, sales programs, promotions, channel strategy, rebates, and other go-to-market initiatives
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and non-standard business terms
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, and other stakeholders to enable business objectives while managing legal risk
  • Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks related to sales practices and commercial activity
  • Develop practical guidance, templates, and scalable processes that improve speed, consistency, and risk management
  • Support resolution of escalated customer and commercial issues
  • Manage a team of attorneys and paralegals
What You'll Bring to Our Team

What You'll Bring / Minimum Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 12+ years of practice
  • Significant legal experience supporting commercial and/or sales organizations, ideally in-house
  • Deep experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements
  • Strong knowledge of legal issues affecting sales organizations, including emerging markets, channel arrangements, and related commercial risk
  • Excellent business judgment and the ability to provide clear, practical advice in ambiguous or high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including experience advising senior business leaders
  • High standards of ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting a large, matrixed sales organization
  • Background in manufacturing, finance, consumer products, retail, distribution, or other commercial environments
  • Experience in emerging markets, M&A, and joint ventures
  • Experience building playbooks, templates, and scalable legal processes
