We're seeking an associate attorney to join our Family Law Practice Group in Omaha. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants to handle family law matters, and help grow a collaborative, client-focused practice.

At Goosmann Law, you'll have the autonomy to build your practice while working alongside attorneys who believe the best results come from teamwork, innovation, and exceptional client service.

Compensation:Based on experience and book of business.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a family law caseload from consultation through resolution.
  • Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, modifications, and other domestic relations matters.
  • Advocate for clients in mediations, negotiations, hearings, and trials.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Develop practical legal strategies and deliver outstanding client service.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement to grow the practice.
What You'll Bring
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Nebraska license or ability to become licensed in Nebraska.
  • Iowa and/or South Dakota licensure is a plus.
  • One+ year of family law or litigation experience.
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service.
  • A portable book of business or established referral network is preferred, but not required.
