Job description

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm.

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Position Type: Associate (3–5 years)
Practice Area: Litigation

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, multi-faceted litigation practice in a collaborative and nationally recognized firm environment. The associate will work closely with a team of experienced partners, senior counsel, and fellow associates on a broad range of matters, including commercial disputes, regulatory issues, and complex litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents
  • Manage and coordinate discovery in complex matters
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
  • Interface directly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
  • Support all phases of litigation from inception through resolution

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of transferable litigation experience
