Job description

POSITION SUMMARY 

The casino housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all slot machines, floors, glass, walls and stairs. The housekeeper is also responsible for vacuuming all casino floors and mopping floors around the Service bars, and offices. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read, follows instructions, and understands visual aids.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. 

  • Ability to obtain a Missouri Gaming License.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for cleaning all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.

  • Responsible for vacuuming all floors.

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking all restrooms.

  • Mopping floors around the bars, restrooms and entrance.

  • Responsible for removing all trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans and depositing in the outside dumpsters.

  • Creating a clean, safe, friendly and fun atmosphere for all guests and employees.

  • Cleaning up biohazard fluids on the property while wearing the appropriate protective gear.

  • Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.     
  • Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
  • Report to work in a neat clean and pressed uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to use a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, hand tools, buffer, ladders, and shop vac.

  • Knowledge of safety guidelines.

  • Must wear gloves while cleaning

  • Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness.

  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive or confined environment.

  • Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude.

  • Knowledge of all special events and promotions available to guests.

  • Walking 40%, Bending 30% (from waist), Lifting 20% (overhead, arms length up to 20 lbs., up to 100 lbs with assistance), and Standing 10%.

  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke filled casino environment with noise levels.

  • Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude.

  • Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a "yes we can" attitude, every guest every time.
