Herschend is seeking a enthusiastic and talented Server to add to our restaurant operations team for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate is driven to provide excellent dining experiences for our guests through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts and vendors at our Listening Lobby, our daytime space for bites and beverages.
Inspired by Dolly Parton's epic career and trailblazing spirit, SongTeller Hotel in Nashville is as unique as the global icon herself. Dolly welcomes guests to a place where they can Love Every Moment; it is a place to unplug, to connect with loved ones and to be entertained.
The Listening Lobby Server position provides a unique opportunity for the right individual to be involved in opening restaurant operations efforts for Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel featuring 245 rooms, two F&B Entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton's Museum. This position is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while simultaneously ensuring the success and profitability of our unique bar offerings. The recipe for the right Server will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, mentor and motivator. To achieve success in this role, one must drive results while adhering to our Heartspitalityยฎ culture. This position requires genuine passion for music and cocktails, as the listening lobby will feature acoustic performances!

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Checks with Manager for daily objectives
  • Properly setting up/closing down the dining spaces with accuracy and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked
  • Inspects dining room for cleanliness
  • Provide excellent dining experiences for our guests through proper steps of service
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the beverage menu including spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the food menu
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
  • Performs service, busser and runner duties as appropriate
  • Must be willing to work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management
  • Uses POS accurately. Handles card transactions as directed
  • Participate in upsell strategies as directed by management
  • Participates in daily line ups
  • Practices service standards and current training throughout service

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6 months of previous job-related experience, Preferred
  • Must be able to obtain Serve Safe/TABC Server Certification
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
