Job description

Our beloved service scheduler has retired and Heritage Ford seeks a replacement.

The service scheduler is an administrative professional who acts as the voice of our dealership, communicating directly with our customers to schedule and coordinate daily maintenance or repair appointments for our technicians.  This position is sometimes referred to as a service BDC within the automotive industry.   We use the industry’s most advanced tools to help customers set and keep appointments for their vehicles.  The scheduler will communicate through a number of channels such as phone, email, text, and chat to connect and coordinate with both customers and fellow service staff team members.

This role places a high emphasis on listening, detail, accuracy, and concern for our service customers.  The scheduler must listen to the customers needs and appropriately schedule them to match available technician skill levels.  A skilled scheduler can manage cancellations, filling the day with the best alternatives.

If you have previous experience as a medical or health care intake scheduler, front desk agent, document controller, coordinator, or procurement specialist, this role may be right for you.

Service Scheduler Job Duties include:

  • Scheduling and confirming service appointments via phone, email, or text

  • Scheduling and coordinating pickup and delivery of service customer vehicles

  • Answer phone calls, emails, and text messages

  • Coordinate with fellow staff members about schedules, service customers, and any changes

  • Resolve schedule conflicts as they occur

  • Sharing time critical information between service advisors, parts advisors, and managers

Service Scheduler Job Requirements:
