Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

 

As a member of the Engineering team, the Logistics Engineer will support Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities by developing logistics data deliverables for development of new avionic components and systems.  Responsible for development of full logistics products from inception through design and fielding of aircraft Line Replaceable Units and Depot Level Shop Replaceable Units.

Essential Functions:

 

  • Completion of Logistics Data Items such as Integrated Product Support (IPS) Plans, Provisioning Development Data, Supplementary Provisioning Technical Documentation (SPTD), Recommended Spares Parts List (RSPL), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Commercial Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Supplier Data Requirements List (SDRL) etc.
  • Perform LORA (Level of Repair Level Analysis) for avionic LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) and SRUs (Shop Replaceable Units) at the Depot, Intermediate, and Organizational Maintenance Levels.
  • Provide advice and guidance on request for proposals (RFP) relating to IPS. 
  • Attend new product development design reviews.
  • General engineering support and data analysis for the Overhaul and Repair (O&R) Division.
  • Provide Lifetime Buy (LTB) analysis of End-of Life (EOL) components.
  • Enter products into the Component Classification system for Export Compliance.
  • Familiarity with avionics maintenance and training.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance and Operations Technical Manual Development.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience in Military Aviation Electronics product development and support
  • Experience working with major military prime integrators and developers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Project.
  • Math modeling of electronics repair operation using confidence levels, repair turnaround time, manpower loading, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with little supervision.
  • Good communication skills and experience presenting data and analysis.
  • Strong military or commercial Logistics data development background
