POSITION TITLE:    Network Support Technician - Level 1
LOCATION:   Technology Support Center
STATUS:     Classified - Non-Exempt, Full Time
HOURS OF WORK:    40 hours a week, 242-day calendar
POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for installing, upgrading, and configuring workstations and District classroom equipment within the district; resolving software and hardware problems; and providing end-user support District wide. 
This position is part of the Technology team and reports to the Technology Support Manager. 
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
This position requires the performance of Medium work.  The position involves Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.  The position is in a normal office setting with exposure to computers, with interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.  The position includes significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent reaching, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity is required in carrying out the essential duties of this position.  The position is performed in generally hazard free environment and a clean atmosphere.
